On January 22, 2021, Long An International Port and Dang Gia Group signed the “Strategic cooperation to implement wind power projects in Vietnam and cooperate in the Kosy Bac Lieu Project”.
Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Plant Project has a total capacity of over 200 MW, an area of about 6,600 hectares, located in Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province, implemented by Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company – a member of Kosy Group.
Dang Gia Group (Dang Gia Corp) is one of the leading companies in the field of transportation and installation of wind power. Speaking at this event, Mr. Vo Quoc Thang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Tam Group, investor of Long An International Port, said that in 2020, Long An International Port signed a strategic cooperation agreement with ports in the Mekong Delta region to facilitate cooperation, connect and develop services, exploit each other’s ecosystems, help businesses reduce costs, improve competitiveness, and maximize efficiency in operations. “The signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Dang Gia Group is part of the core development strategy of Long An International Port, contributing to promoting economic cooperation in the region to become more and more dynamic, contributing to making the Mekong Delta region one of the development focuses. We are also promoting the completion of legal procedures to expand the scale, so that wharves No. 8 and 9 have a design capacity to receive ships with a tonnage of up to 100,000 DWT, expected to be completed on schedule in 2023-2024; increasing the total continuous length of the wharf system to 2,368m. The capacity of customs clearance goods reaches more than 80 million tons/year.
