Approving adjustment of investment policy and the investor for Huong Linh 3 WPP   – Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Vo Van Hung has just signed Decision No. 756/QD-UBND approving the adjustment of investment policy and the investor of the Huong Linh 3 wind power project. According to the Decision, the investment policy of Huong Linh 3 Wind Power Project is the first time approved by Quang Tri PPC for the Huong Linh 3 Wind Power Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Cooc village, Huong Linh commune, Huong Hoa district) as the investor (Decision No. 781/QD-UBND dated April 9, 2019). The Huong Linh 3 wind power project with a total capacity of 30 MW, average generation of 123.329 GWh/year is designed with 9 wind turbines with each capacity from 3.3 to 3.465 MW. The project is implemented on 8 ha in Huong Linh commune, Huong Hoa district (excluding land area for the foundations of the connecting grid to the national power system). PVN and US partners held discussions on the cooperation in investment in offshore wind power and hydrogen projects   – On March 2, 2022, in Hanoi, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, the Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and Mr. Mark Green – Chairman of the Asia-Europe region of AES Corporation (USA) discussed cooperation in developing offshore wind power and hydrogen projects in Vietnam. At the meeting, Mr. Mark Green updated on the implementation status of the Son My LNG Terminal project: after establishing the Charter of Son My LNG Warehouse Company, the agreement and necessary documents suitable with Vietnamese laws for founding Son My LNG Warehouse Company were signed by PV Gas and AES on February 27, 2022, the documents on Son My LNG Warehouse Joint Stock Company ware submitted to Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Planning and Investment. At present, the sides are actively coordinating to work with Binh Thuan provincial relevant agencies to as soon as possible obtain the Investment Registration Certificate and finalize relevant investment procedures. Inaugurating Dong Hai 1 Wind Power Project   – On January 16, 2022, Trungnam Tra Vinh 1 Wind Power Joint Stock Company, a member of Trung Nam Group held a ceremony for inaugurating Dong Hai 1 Wind Power Project in Tra Vinh province. This project is the first step for the “sea voyage” demonstrating the construction capacity of Trungnam Group, in successful implementing the first offshore wind power project, overcoming the trial of the time and natural unfavorable factors in the Southwest region, opening the way for offshore wind power projects of Trung Nam Group in coming time. Dong Hai 1 Off-shore Wind Power Project (OWPP) is developed in Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province with a capacity of 100 MW, average generation of 330 GWh/year.
